Sandown Workshop
The award winning Crafting Live workshops are coming back to Sandown Park Racecourse, Esher and bringing a whole host of celebrity crafters.
If you have attended before, you will know what a great day out this workshop with Stephanie Weightman and her crafty friends will be. For those of you that have never attended, you will be introduced to the crafting team and well looked after throughout the day. The workshop gives you the chance to meet like-minded people and make new friends, ask questions, create beautiful projects to take home, dine on tea and biscuits with your new friends and much more!
All the project materials you need will be provided, as well as a delicious lunch and refreshments for those well-deserved breaks after all that hard work. Stephanie and her team are so excited to welcome you and will of course be providing their musical talents with a classic rendition of… You’ll have to wait and see!
What’s more, your ticket will give you entry to the show days (Friday and Saturday) at no extra charge!

This year’s projects are
Easter Egg Trinket – Create your very own Easter Egg Trinket box, in this project you’ll be learning how to completely transform this paper mâché egg into a beautiful keepsake jar to house goodies, gifts or even some easter treats! Working with the soft colour palette of easter from Cadence you’ll learn application, Dry brushing techniques and adding detail with a variety of mediums.
Felted Bunny Rabbit – Felting is taking the Craft world by storm, and creating your very own decorative characters is a huge trend that’s continuing to grow. For this project you’ll learn right from the beginning with felting, how to handle it, layer it and build your very own felted Bunny by following easy step by step templates. Once you’ve learnt the very first few steps with felting, you’ll have all the knowledge felt your very own creations.
Decoupaged Wooden Tray – Combining techniques you’ll learn throughout the workshop, This will lead you to create a stunning display tray to stand proud within your home. In this project you’ll also learn how to work with rice paper, an exciting versatile substrate that allows to you elevate in the most mundane objects within our homes into beautiful creations. Learning Rice paper application along with distressing effects with Cadence paints, you’ll create a tray that coordinates and matches with all projects throughout the day.
Layered Metallics Stencil Card – Create your very own stencilled masterpiece with the craft master layering stencils. These beautiful and elegant designs provide you with the tools to build and create handmade greetings card or even a wall display pieces. You’ll be working with an opulent array of metallic paints from Cadence to layer up your colours and blend through the stencils, acquiring new skills and techniques to maximise your potential with stencilling.
Glass Panel Painting – A craft with great heritage, glass painting is a mindful and very rewarding craft. In this workshop project you’ll learn how to use the Ceativ glass and porcelain markers to create a stunning stained-glass effect. Through following a step by step template and the guidance of your tutor, you’ll be able to apply this technique to all types of glassware and crockey within your home. This will allow to master a craft you may have never even tried.
